London-based Avenir LNG, through one of its subsidiaries, has taken delivery of a new dual purpose LNG bunkering and supply vessel from Keppel Offshore and Marine.

Following its maiden voyage, Avenir Advantage will commence a three-year charter to Petronas LNG in Malaysia, thus becoming the first dedicated LNG bunkering vessel in Southeast Asia.

The vessel has a cargo capacity of 7,500 cubic metres of LNG. Construction took place at Keppel Nantong Shipyard in China.
