Avance Gas orders VLGC newbuildings from South Korean yard

Avance Gas has entered into shipbuilding contracts for two very large gas carriers (VLGCs) with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea.

The vessels will each have a total cargo capacity of 91,000 cubic metres and dual fuel engines that can also operate on LPG.

The VLGCs are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, respectively.
