Chinese yard delivers Malaccamax VLCC to local owner

China’s Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC) has delivered a new very large crude carrier (VLCC) to local shipowner China Shipbuilding Consulting Company.

Classed by China Classification Society, the Malaccamax vessel CS Hunan Venture has a length of 333 metres, a beam of 60 metres, a draught of 20.5 metres, and a deadweight of 307,000 tonnes. It can sail for up to 26,000 nautical miles in between refuelings.

The vessel will be operated by Wah Kwong Ship Management Hong Kong on behalf of the owner.
