Aurora Tankers takes delivery of final unit in eight-ship MR series
Aurora Tankers, the tanker arm of Singapore shipowner IMC Shipping, has taken delivery of the final one in a series of eight 50,000DWT MR chemical tankers ordered in 2017.
Like its sisters, Maritime Verity has 22 cargo tanks and SOx scrubbers that enable it to comply with IMO Tier II emissions regulations.
The newbuild will be operated by a joint venture formed by Aurora and China’s CSSC Shipping. It joins a pool that also includes 21 other tankers plying major global and intra-Asia trade routes.
