AET Tankers, Total ink time charter for two VLCCs

AET Tankers and Switzerland-based Chartering and Shipping Services (CSSA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Total, have entered into an agreement for the time charter of two LNG dual-fuel very large crude carriers (VLCCs).

The two newbuildings are scheduled to be delivered to AET from the first quarter of 2022.

AET said the VLCCs will be able to achieve CO2, NOx, and SOx emissions reductions of up to 20 per cent, 85 per cent, and 99 per cent, respectively, compared to vessels that operate on conventional marine fuels.
