AET takes delivery of first shuttle tanker in series from Samsung Heavy Industries

Singapore-based AET took delivery of a new Suezmax DP2 shuttle tanker from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) on Friday, May 22.

The DNV GL-classed Eagle Petrolina is the first in a series of four 152,000DWT tankers purpose-built for a long-term charter with Petrobras. The other three vessels are scheduled to be delivered later this year.

The newbuild will commence operations in late June 2020 alongside two other AET vessels already operating for Petrobras in the Brazilian Basin.
