A gas tanker operated by Norway’s Awilco LNG sustained damage after it was struck by another vessel in the waters off Singapore on Thursday, May 30.

No injuries or oil spills have been reported onboard the 290-metre-long WilForce, the company said in a statement. However, the vessel will be offhire for an indefinite period as it undergoes class inspection and hull repairs in a Singapore shipyard.

Awilco LNG claims the other vessel, which it has not named, is “fully and completely liable for the collision.”
