Tsuneishi’s China shipyard delivers first LRI product tanker

Tsuneishi Group Zhoushan Shipbuilding has delivered Orange Victoria, the first LRI product/chemical tanker to be built at Tsuneishi’s shipyard in China.

The 228- by 38-metre ship, which has been delivered to an unnamed client, will be able to transport petroleum products and crude oil as well as vegetable oil and IMO type II and III chemical products.

Despite being a 77,000DWT ship, Orange Victoria has the depth and draught that will allow it to enter ports used by MR tankers of 40,000 to 54,999 DWT.

The ship also has a total cargo tank capacity of 92,000 cubic metres, which is approximately twice that of an MR tanker.
