DSME bags sixth LNG carrier order from Maran Gas

Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) has won an order for a new LNG carrier from Greek shipowner Maran Gas Maritime.

The vessel will have a total cargo tank capacity of 174,000 cubic metres and will be delivered to the customer in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The vessel is the sixth 174,000-cubic-metre LNG carrier ordered by Maran Gas from DSME. The two companies are also currently discussing the possibility of the construction of additional units in the same series.
