Algoma Central Corporation welcomes 2008-built vessel to tanker fleet

Canadian shipping company Algoma Central Corporation has purchased a 2008-built product tanker which will become the seventh tanker within the Algoma Tankers fleet.

The 16,958DWT vessel will be named Algonorth.

The ship departed Gothenburg, Sweden, on Monday, November 12, and is now headed for Canada, at which time it is expected to begin operations within Algoma’s product tanker fleet.
