New ship launched for Thun Tankers

On Saturday June 16, Thun Tankers’ newest vessel was successfully launched at Ferus Smit Shipyard in the Netherlands.

Thun Eos is the first in a series of four new vessels being built at the shipyard.

The ship has a deadweight of 7,999 tonnes, a LOA of 115 metres and top speed of 13 knots.

The main engine is capable of LNG or gas oil usage and it has a nozzle-fitted, 3.85-metre diameter controllable pitch propeller.
