First of new tank barge series launched in Russia

On May 17, Okskaya Sudoverf Shipyard delivered the first non-self-propelled tank barge of Project ROB20, Belmax 1, to the customer PAO STLC.

The tank barges of Project ROB20 are intended for the transportation of petroleum products with a flashpoint of 610°C and above. With their double sides and double bottoms, the vessels feature improved environmental friendliness. The barges will be operated on the Belaya, Kama and Volga rivers.

The contract for construction of the barges was signed on October 31, 2017, with the keel of the first barge laid on November 22.

The series measures in at 118.79 metres in length, with a beam of 22.8 metres and draught of 2.75 metres. Capacity is 6,530m3.
