Turkish shipyard launches Desgagnés dual-fuel tanker
A dual-fuel LNG IMO-II chemical tanker has been launched at Turkey’s Besiktas Shipyard for Canadian shipping firm Desgagnés Group.
The 14,000DWT, polar ice-class tanker, Rossi A. Desgagnés, is the fourth in a series of four asphalt-bitumen-chemical tankers.
Each can be powered by heavy fuel oil, marine diesel oil or liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The 10,000GT newbuilding measures 135 metres by 23.5 metres.
