Portuguese firm to build cargo terminal at Senegal’s Bargny-Sendou Port

Portuguese marine construction company Etermar has been selected to design and build a new bulk cargo handling terminal at the Port of Bargny-Sendou in Senegal.

The new facility will have a 360-metre platform that will allow up to four 35,000DWT ships to berth simultaneously.

Etermar said this will be its second construction project at the same port, which is being developed into a bulk cargo hub that will serve West Africa.
