DP World has confirmed that construction has started on a new fourth berth at its London Gateway smart logistics hub in the UK.

On completion in 2024, the berth will expand London Gateway’s capacity by a third, giving it more room to handle the some of the largest vessels currently in operation.

DP World is building the new berth with support from local construction company McLaughlin and Harvey. The works have a total cost of approximately £350 million (US$387.75 million).
