The Klaipeda State Seaport Authority of Lithuania has initiated a project entailing reconstruction of three of the port’s berths that are used for shipbuilding activities.

The port authority said the berths are already in poor condition and thus require reconstruction, which will consist of two phases. The entire project has a total cost of approximately €2.38 million (US$2.57 million).

Some of the works in the first phase will be undertaken by Latvian construction company BMGS.
