$11.5 million investment at Container Terminal St Petersburg

Container Terminal St Petersburg (CTSP) spent more than RUB650 million (US$11.5 million) in 2017 to upgrade equipment.

The subsidiary of UCL Holding updated handling equipment, expanded its fleet and modernised the terminal as it handled 643,700TEU during the year.

This included three new RTG cranes, a 45-tonne reach stacker, 65-tonne terminal tractors and fork lift. 

The company also expanded its fleet of load-gripping equipment.

Allocations were also made to develop the terminal’s CCTV and security system and improved its IT infrastructure.
