Japan’s Miura Shipbuilding has handed over a new freight-only Ro-Ro vessel to local operator Kyoudougumi Kaiun.

Misaki II has an LOA of 110 metres, a beam of 17 metres, and a draught of five metres. One 5,272kW main engine delivers a maximum speed of 18 knots.

The newbuild will operate on the route between Kagoshima and the Amami Islands. It will replace the older Ro-Ro vessel Misaki on the same route.
