First steel cut for world’s largest LNG-powered Ro-Ro ship

Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard cut the first steel for a new LNG-powered freight-only Ro-Ro vessel on Monday, March 30.

The vessel will have an LOA of 242 metres and capacity for 5,800 lane metres of cargo. Once in service, it will be the largest LNG-powered Ro-Ro vessel in the world.

The vessel is expected to be delivered to Swedish operator Wallenius SOL in August 2021.
