Finnlines took delivery of a new hybrid Ro-Ro vessel from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) on Monday, May 30.

Finneco II is the second in a series of three ships ordered from the same builder. All three vessels will sail under the Finnish flag and will enter Finnlines’ Baltic sea, North Sea, and Biscay traffic.

The ship is 238 metres long and has a cargo capacity of 5,800 lane metres. The vessel can carry 400 trailers per voyage, denoting a nearly 40 per cent increase in cargo-carrying capacity compared to the next largest vessels in the Finnlines fleet.
