UECC exercises option for third battery hybrid LNG PCTC in series

Oslo-based UECC has exercised an option for a third battery hybrid LNG pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) in a series from China Ship Building Trading and Jiangnan Shipyard Group.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 2022.

The PCTC will be built to meet IMO Tier III NOx emissions limitations and will be operated along UECC’s Atlantic short sea trade routes.
