SFL inks charters for car carrier pair

SFL Corporation has entered into an agreement with an undisclosed European-based automobile manufacturer to charter two newbuild dual-fuel 7,000 CEU car carriers for a 10-year period from delivery in 2023.

The contract is on a time-charter basis. Until the new vessels are delivered, the counterparty will charter the two existing car carriers SFL Composer (pictured) and SFL Conductor.

Concurrently, SFL said it has agreed to have the two newbuild vessels constructed at a shipyard in China, subject to final documentation.
