NYK takes delivery of Japan’s first LNG-fueled PCTC

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) took delivery of a new pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) on Wednesday, October 28.

Delivered by Shin Kurushima Toyohashi Shipbuilding, Sakura Leader is the first large LNG-fueled PCTC to be constructed in Japan.

The vessel has a length of 199 metres, a beam of 38 metres, and capacity for 7,000 vehicles.
