NYK orders LNG-fuelled PCTC from Shin Kurushima Dockyard
Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) has awarded a contract to Shin Kurushima Dockyard for the construction of an LNG-fuelled pure car and truck carrier (PCTC).
The vessel is scheduled to be delivered in 2022 and will become NYK’s second LNG-fuelled PCTC.
The newbuilding will have an LOA of approximately 199.95 metres, a beam of 38 metres, and capacity for up to 7,000 cars.
