K Line to procure eight more LNG-fueled car carriers
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has unveiled plans to purchase an additional eight 7,000CEU car carriers with LNG-fueled engines.
Delivery of all eight newbuildings is scheduled for between FY2023 and FY2025. Construction will take place at Nihon Shipyard, Shin Kurushima Dockyard, and China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing).
The new car carriers will operate alongside K Line’s first LNG-fueled vessel, the 2021-built Century Highway Green (pictured).
