K Line takes delivery of LNG dual-fuel car carrier
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) recently took delivery of a new pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) from Imabari Shipbuilding’s Tadotsu Shipyard.
Named Century Highway Green, the vessel has a length of 199.98 metres, a beam of 37.2 metres, and capacity for 7,080 CEUs. One MAN B&W 8S50ME-C GI 9,380kW dual-fuel main engine that can also operate on LNG delivers a service speed of just under 20 knots.
The newbuild is the first LNG-powered vessel to be acquired by K Line.
