Oshima Shipbuilding delivers first bulker in series to China Navigation

Oshima Shipbuilding handed over a new bulk carrier to Swire Group subsidiary China Navigation Company on Saturday, November 7.

Named Kaifong, the vessel is China Navigation’s first newbuilding order from Oshima as well as the first unit in a planned series of eight 37,000DWT bulk carriers.

All seven of Kaifong‘s sisters are scheduled to be delivered by Oshima before the end of 2021. The vessels will be operated by Swire Bulk.
