Norwegian shipowner Egil Ulvan Rederi has taken delivery of a new reefer and general cargo vessel built by Turkey’s Tersan Shipyard.

The 86- by 20-metre Oddrun With was designed for flexible and combined shipping of general cargo, refrigerated goods, and container cargo. An efficient unloading system has been installed for the supply of fish feed to salmon farms along the Norwegian coast.

The vessel is also equipped with a combined side hatch/conveyor loader suited for many types of cargo works.

Operating modes include LNG only and hybrid mode with batteries. The batteries can be charged via shaft generators and diesel generators.

The vessel is also capable of cooling down its cold cargo holds to minus 27 degrees Celsius either via its own refrigeration system or alternatively via cold recovery wherein LNG is converted from liquid to gas form.
