Norden orders Ultramax quartet from COSCO, Kawasaki JV

Danish shipowner Norden has entered into a newbuilding contract for four Ultramax dry cargo vessels with Nantong Cosco KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS), a joint venture between China COSCO Shipping and Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI).

The 61,000DWT vessels will be constructed at the NACKS shipyard in Nantong, China.

Delivery of all four vessels is expected in 2022.
