New 325,000DWT ore carrier delivered to China’s BOCOM

China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), through subsidiary Qingdao Beichuan Shipyard, has handed over a new ore carrier to local owner Bank of Communications (BOCOM).

BOKM Qingdao has an LOA of 340 metres, a moulded beam of 62 metres, and a deadweight of 325,000 tonnes. The dual-fuel engine is LNG-ready and allows the ship to sail for up to 25,500 nautical miles.

The newbuild will sail under the Liberian flag.
