MOL names third coal carrier in series

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) formally named a new coal carrier in a ceremony on Thursday, June 9.

Energia Azalea is the third vessel in a series built by Namura Shipbuilding. It will transport coal from overseas to the power plants operated by Japanese utilities company Chugoku Electric Power.

The newbuild has an LOA of 234.92 metres, a beam of 43 metres, a draught of 20.05 metres, and a deadweight of 99,965 tonnes.
