Mainstay Marine begins building river barges for UK DEFRA
Welsh shipbuilder Mainstay Marine Solutions has commenced construction of a series of five river cargo barges for the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
Each barge will have a length of 17 metres and a displacement of 22 tonnes.
All five vessels are expected to be delivered by the end of May 2021.
