JMU delivers bulker pair to China Steel Express Corporation

Japan Marine United (JMU) delivered two new bulk carriers to Taiwanese owner China Steel Express Corporation (CSC) on Friday, March 27.

CSC Preeminence (pictured) and CSC Victor belong to the same series of dry bulk vessels built by JMU specifically for the transport of iron ore and coal along trans-Pacific routes.

The newbuilds each have an LOA of 299.99 metres, a beam of 50 metres, a draught of 18.436 metres, a deadweight of 208,815 tonnes, and a crew of 25. One MAN B&W 7S65ME-C8.2 diesel engine gives each vessel a sailing speed of 14.7 knots.
