Fesco Transportation Group has won the tender of Chukotka Mining and Geological Company, part of Kinross Gold Corporation, for the delivery of equipment to the Kupol and Dvoinoy gold mines located in the Chukotka Autonomous Area in the Russian Arctic.

Under the contract, Fesco’s vessels will make five voyages from China, the US, and ports in the Russian Far East to the port of Pevek, the country’s northernmost seaport. The vessels will be delivering approximately 1,300 TEUs of containerised and general cargo to Chukotka.

The deliveries will be performed by three ships including the new multipurpose vessels Fesco Uliss and Fesco Paris purchased in 2020.

The first voyage commenced in late July while the last one is scheduled for October.
