China’s first LNG-fueled cement carrier hits the water

Zhaoqing Zhaotong Shipyard has launched the first LNG-fueled cement carrier to be built and operated and domestically in China.

CIMC Runqing 106 was designed by CIMC Shanghai Ship Design Institute. Upon completion, the ship will have an LOA of 61.55 metres, a beam of 10.8 metres, a full load draught of 3.35 metres, and a deadweight of 1,500 tonnes.

Design work on the vessel was done in compliance with China Classification Society rules.
