Chengxi Shipyard launches first of six bulkers for South Korean operator

Chengxi Shipyard, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), launched a new 82,000-tonne bulk carrier at its shipyard on December 5.

The vessel is the first of six 82,000-tonne bulk carriers ordered by South Korea's SM Group from the Chinese shipyard.

It is also the fourteenth vessel to be built by CSIC Chengxi in 2018.
