BOOK REVIEW | A Guide to Bulk Carrier Operations

This excellent and very valuable book produced by the ever-invaluable Nautical Institute is a development of Captain Jack Isbester’s Bulk Carrier Practice, on which it is based. Compiled by a global team of bulker experts, it is brief, succinct, very well illustrated, useful and exceptionally practical.

As with all Nautical Institute publications, it has been written with an audience who are either too busy for or who don’t particularly like textbooks, in mind. The intention is to make it both easily readable and likely to be readily referred to. It achieves those objectives very well.

Anyone who is in any way involved with bulk carrier operations whether onboard, shore-side or in the owner’s office or legal department would be well advised to purchase, read and study carefully this very useful publication.
