Belships acquires ultramax bulker

Norway’s Belships has entered into an agreement to acquire the 2016-built 63,000DWT bulk carrier Sofie Victory.

The ultramax vessel was built by New Times Shipbuilding of China and operated by EGD Ultra Eco of Norway prior to its acquisition by Belships for an agreed purchase price of US$24.15 million.

Sofie Victory is time chartered to UK-based ED&F Man Shipping until March 2021.
