Astrakhan Shipyard launches new cargo barge for Beluga Projects Logistic

United Shipbuilding Corporation’s (USC) Astrakhan Shipyard has launched a new cargo barge ordered by Mashpromlizing on behalf of operator Beluga Projects Logistic.

The non-self-propelled Beluga-2 has an LOA of 85.5 metres, a beam of 16.5 metres, a loadline draught of 3.11 metres, and a displacement of 990 tonnes.

The barge will be used to transport up to 3,000 tonnes of oversized cargo through the open sea as well as through inland waterways.
