ASCO ship resumes sailings following overhaul

The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has resumed operational sailings of the 3,100DWT dry cargo vessel Garadagh following a lengthy overhaul period.

The overhaul of the 1988-built vessel encompassed repair of the main and auxiliary engines, engine room pumps, air compressors, refrigerators, and separators. Further, the pipes on the main deck and in the engine room were replaced, and welding of the hull, automation, and electrical installations was also carried out.

The living and service spaces of the vessel have also been renovated and furnished.

The overhaul of Garadagh was carried out at local shipyard Zigh.
