Star Bulk to acquire 11 vessels from Delphin Shipping

Greece’s Star Bulk Carriers has entered into an en bloc definitive agreement with Kelso and Company affiliate Delphin Shipping for the acquisition of 11 dry bulk vessels for an aggregate price of US$139.5 million.

The vessels, all of which were built by Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry, include ten 56,500DWT vessels and one 63,100DWT vessel.

The acquisition is expected to commence in June 2019.

The technical management of the 11 vessels will remain with an entity affiliated with Technomar, while commercial management will be taken over by Star Bulk.
