SWS begins building bulker pair for Japanese operator

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) has begun construction of two 187,000-tonne bulk carriers in a series for Japan’s Sande Marine.

Each ship will have an LOA of 299.88 metres, a width of 47.5 metres, and a depth of 24.7 metres.

The BV-classed ships will be the third and fourth 187,000-tonne bulkers to be built by SWS for Sande Marine.
