Krasnoye Sormovo to build 11 more Project RSD59 ships

United Shipbuilding Corporation’s (USC) Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard has been awarded a contract to continue building dry cargo ships under Project RSD59 for State Transport Leasing Company (STLC).

The shipyard has emerged as the winner in an open tender valued at approximately 10.67 rubles (US$161 million) for the construction of 11 ships up until the end of 2021.

Krasnoye Sormovo plans to deliver the first three Project RSD59 ships of this latest order in 2019, the fourth through seventh ships in 2020, and the final four in 2021.
