A general cargo vessel struck a berthed bulk carrier as it was manoeuvring through Greece’s Gulf of Corinth on the afternoon of Thursday, January 3 (local time).

NS Tera (pictured) reportedly suffered mechanical failure, causing the helmsman to lose control of the ship while attempting to navigate Antikyra Harbour.

NS Tera’s bow then struck the stern of Delphi Ranger, which was berthed in Antikyra at the time.

Both ships sustained damage, the extent of which has not yet been determined.

The cause of NS Tera‘s mechanical failure is still under investigation.
