Time charter deal for Diana Shipping capsize bulker

Geneva-based SwissMarine Services has entered a time-charter agreement for Diana Shipping’s Capesize dry bulk vessel, New Orleans.

The 2015-built vessel is 292 metres by 45 metres. She has a cargo capacity of 197,101 cubic metres and an operating speed of 15 knots.

The gross charter rate for the 180,960DWT ship is US$21,000 per day for a minimum period of 11 months and a maximum 13 months.

The charter, which is expected to generate US$6.9 million for the minimum period, will begin on March 25.
