K Line announces delivery of Corona series coal carrier

Tokyo-based Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has welcomed the delivery of an 88,000DWT special coal carrier Corona Wisdom.

Delivered at the Shin Kasado Dockyard of Imabari Shipbuilding Group, the 229.9-metre Corona Wisdom has a 38.0-metre beam and 13.9-metre draught that enables it to enter ports of thermal power stations to unload cargo.

Corona Wisdom is equipped with energy saving and technology such as WAD (“weather adapted duct”), which promotes propeller efficiency and assists the ballast water management system.
