Yang Ming christens two 2,800TEU newbuilds
Taiwan’s Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation recently held a naming ceremony for its two newest 2,800TEU containerships.
Built by local shipyard CSBC Corporation, the vessels have been named YM Celebrity and YM Continent. Each has a length of 209.75 metres, a beam of 32.8 metres, a draught of 11.2 metres, and a cruising speed of 21 knots.
The vessels are the first two in a series of 10 expected to be delivered to Yang Ming through to the second quarter of 2021.
