Chinese shipyard CIMC Raffles delivered a new Con-Ro ship to Swedish shipowner Wallenius SOL on Friday, May 13.

Botnia Enabler has a length of 242 metres, a beam of 35.2 metres, and the highest Finnish-Swedish ice class to cope with the harsh winter conditions in the Gulf of Bothnia. In addition to its capacity for 5,800 lane metres of freight, the vessel also has a large container-carrying capacity.

The ship is powered by multi-fuel engines capable of running on LNG, liquefied biogas, or diesel.

Botnia Enabler is the first in a planned series of two ships.
