Seaspan orders six more 15,500TEU newbuildings

Seaspan Corporation has entered into an agreement with an undisclosed shipyard for six additional 15,500TEU modern newbuild containerships.

The company anticipates deliveries will begin in the second half of 2023 and extend through to the middle of 2024.

The containerships will be scrubber-fitted and include other emissions reduction technologies. Upon completion, the vessels will enter long-term charters with various liner customers.
