Pan Ocean orders two containerships

South Korea’s largest bulk shipping company Pan Ocean has ordered two 1,800TEU containerships from Hyundai Mipo Dockyards.

Delivery of the two vessels is expected to come in the second half of 2019 and the first half of 2020.

The total price for both vessels comes to US$50 million

This marks Pan Ocean’s first newbuilding order since 2010, when it had to cancel orders for two vessels at Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding due to financial problems.
